Favorite canon ship is the Hunter!
Although personally I'd love to see a canon Battlecruiser. That would be my favorite choice.

I am stuck between the Dwarven Iron ships (for their style)
and the Arcane Mk II patrol ship (as they are quite well designed).

Not really KLM! It's just not sleek like a battlecruiser. It's more like a something you'd see in ST. I'm not an ST fan. I'd use one of my or KItsune's Battlecruisers over it any day of the week.

Funny, because the Warshield has a lenght:width ratio of cca 3:1, while
the Explorer has about 7:1, making it sleeker

Tastes differ...
but both You and Gadrin has this "trek-phobia" which I find amusing.
Not that I particularly like TOS, TNG or VOY... More like DS9.
Also, discarding a good idea because it was in a series you
dislike... Not efficient.

Disclaimer: I am not intending to alter or even argue with anyone's taste.
My favourite is Deep Space 9, for its realistic, even dark approach of the Trek universe,
its more or less coherent storyline and the fact, that some of the visuals set a new
standard in space battles (the previous standard for me was the Battle of Endor, from
the Return of the Jedi), which is still sanding for me.
Funny, that it was the same producer who after creating a couple of very promising series-ideas,
ruined them all.

However, "basic trek ship desing parameters" were set by Rodenberry - after consulting some
eggheads of NASA and the like. I think those parameters - noticeable in every ship - still
stand true and sound.
