PE or ME
Doesn't it seem like certain saves vs magic should made with me instead like confusion or fear

Re: PE or ME
It does, which is why it is up to the GM to say whether a change should be implemented in the rules to reflect that.

Every group has one problem player. If you cannot spot the one in your group; look in the mirror.
It is not a good session until at least one player looks you in the eye and says "you sick twisted evil ****"

Which is why none of us are playing the same game, even if we use the same books.

I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.
If I don't provide a book and page number, then don't assume that I'm describing canon. I'll tell you if I'm describing canon.

Re: PE or ME
The question the OP asked clearly falls under house rules. Anyone using house rules is by definition rewriting the game books as they see fit.flatline wrote:Which is why none of us are playing the same game, even if we use the same books.

Some things can be interpreted differently, this one is a fairly straight forward house ruling if it goes ahead, also i'm yet to talk to anyone who has played the game straight out of the book, mostly because of the bits that can be interpreted differently and the bits that a just too unbalanced.

No, I don't think any saves should be made with you.

Some spells do use ME bonuses to resist, like the Mental Blast one in Federation of Magic (first used in that Wormwood comic)
